He has had a long research career at the Norwegian School of Veterinary Science\/NMBU, where he has gained extensive experience in analyzing epidemiological data. From 2000, he served as a professor in epidemiology and veterinary public health, a position he held until stepping down from his main role in 2024. Eystein remains affiliated with NMBU as professor emeritus.<br \/><br \/><\/p><p>At Salmalytics, Eystein will contribute to various projects, with a particular focus on the design and analysis of databases from epidemiological and clinical studies.
