From January 2025, Eystein Skjerve has joined Salmalytics in a 40% position as Senior Researcher.
Eystein is a veterinarian, educated at the Norwegian School of Veterinary Science (1983), with a PhD from the same institution (1987). He has had a long research career at the Norwegian School of Veterinary Science/NMBU, where he has gained extensive experience in analyzing epidemiological data. From 2000, he served as a professor in epidemiology and veterinary public health, a position he held until stepping down from his main role in 2024. Eystein remains affiliated with NMBU as professor emeritus.
At Salmalytics, Eystein will contribute to various projects, with a particular focus on the design and analysis of databases from epidemiological and clinical studies. Additionally, his broad teaching experience will make him an important resource for our course offerings.
